My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were visiting Tuesday-Sunday. Thursday night, we went out for Mexican food, to a restaurant DH and I go to frequently and have never had a problem with. Well, SIL and I both managed to get food poisoning! I think it was the sour cream, as it's the only thing SIL and I both had that DH and MIL didn't. I think we got Staphlococcus, because it's common in dairy products and has very rapid onset (we were both feeling lousy by the time we got home). We both had diarrhea and vomiting all Thursday night and into Friday morning, and my diarrhea didn't end until Friday evening.
I was really worried this would throw me back into a flare, but luckily, all seems to be back to normal! I was especially worried with my interview on Thursday and Friday this week!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa nightly,
40mg 30mg 20mg 15mg 10mg 10mg of Prednisone every other day, Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).
