I mentioned this in another thread but wanted a separate post on it.

Just curious if anyone has been given a prescription for mixed oral maintenance meds? Asacol/colazal/lialda/apriso...etc Seems there's no problem doing the enemas and one maint med. I think I have been given a mix of everything else. Why wouldn't it be efficient doing a mix of asacol and colazal or any of the others? I was gonna ask the GI today but it just left my brain as everything else does nowadays.

I have not mixed the 5-ASAs. But I do take both Lialda and Azathioprine - along with Remicade. So - a lot of meds.

I was on Asacol when first diagnosed over ten years ago.  Since my colitis is confined to my rectum the doctor switched me to Colazal.  This was at least eight years ago.
