All,

I'm seeing some Acne on my face and in the Hair.
I went to Dermatologist and she gave me EVOCLIN a topical antibiotic which helps in fighting with Acne.
When i went to EVOCLIN website..they say it is not good for people with Colitis.
My Dermatologist already knows that i have Colitis. But she prescribed this foam.
I'm confused now what to do whether to use it or not?
Did any of you guys ever tried this medicine for Acne?

Please suggest.....

Thanks in advance.

Dear Harry

Somebody on this forum had suggested to use Zinc Capsules/Tablets 200 Mg daily for the first week, and then 100 Mg. daily for the 2nd week. Lots of people have seen good results. There acne have got cured within 2 weeks. Please check the posts on this issue during last 20 days on this board.

I'm guessing that b/c it's topical, it's not going to affect UC very much. However, it'd be a completely different story if it was taken orally.
My dermatologist prescribed topical Climydacin (sp?), which has a side effect of pseudomembraneous colitis. But he said that the topical will be safe.

But I'm paranoid, so I haven't used it yet.
