Hi, okay so for about two months now i have been wondering if i am in remision.  for my stools they are completly formed (sometimes softer than others but always formed), no blood, no urgency to go and no cramping when i go(i used to have extemely bad cramping).  i go about twice a day, and i am on 5mg of hydrocortisone.  i would just like to hear from those of you that are in remision and what normal is for you

Sounds good... Any mucous? If I had your same "symptoms" I would consider myself in remission if there is no bleeding, urgency, or mucous.... I am not currently in remission but am sure trying...

It sounds like you're doing really well. But I don't consider remission true if one is still on a steroid. It's after being off a steroid (maybe on maintenance medication) and you are still symptom free that's a true remission. I am in a true clinical remission (scope proven) but I still have some sypmtoms but I believe I may have IBS too. I go to the bathroom about 1-4 times a day, semi solid to mush, no bleeding, no urgency but I do still have cramping. I think too that the length of which I had this also affects my remission. I doubt I will ever get back to "normal" but if I don't feel sick, even with the above symptoms.
