i have never been in this bad of pain and it has been here since sunday.  I have a terable sharp pain at the top of my belly.  Like right below my brestbone.  I sit bent over in pain hurts worse when i stand.  my pills my gi gave me arnt helping and i had to take a hydrocodine to help me.  Hes not back till thursday and i can't even get in to see him till my appt later this month.
This is my 3rd week on 6mp.  Heat helps.  But when i eat a meal, or wake up it is way bad.  I have no idea what it could be does anyone know
* update***     So we figured out it was the 6mp.  I Started having the pains on Sunday.  had all week.  Friday went for a bunch of test.  Felt really bad when i went to bed so i didn't take my meds.  Woke up Saturday feeling much better.  Was stupid and took my meds agian Saturday and and suffered all day Sunday.  haven't taken them since.  Went and talked with the nurse and the GI on Monday and told her everything (gi has been outta town) and she called doc and told him for like the 4th or 5th time this week and he said if pain was my main complaint and they hadden't seen anything on the other test it could be the 6mp.  He said it can upset your pancrease.  I haven't taken it since and i feel great now.  So that is what i am blame this on.  I would rather be in a flare than have that pain agian.

ugh. I have had 2 days of testing from my regular doc cause i can't get in to see my gi. We really thought it was my gallbladder. did an ultrasound and everything looks alright. Well i went for a ct of my belly and pelvis and my doc is like well it looks like colitis. I am like duh i told you that i think this is something different, she says i can give you antibodics. I said thanks but no thanks and left. I call my GI and tell them what the ct says. and they call back and said they will give me a script for entrocort. Fine i said but what about the pain. This pain is worse than childbirth. I havn't felt alright for 5 days now. Terable belly pain up high looked just like gallbladder. They say well he really doesn't give pain meds. The regular doctor wouldn't give them to me. I think i will just have to go to the er next time i get a relly bad spuot of pain. It lasted 6 hours last night i couldn't do anything to control it.

It really does sound like a drug side effect.

I had pain like this and it was just my severe UC. I went to the ER and was hospitalized. If it persists you should go to the ER.

Well, I'm glad you're feeling better.

So are you on anything else to control your UC? After going through all that pain, I'd hate to see you go into a flare!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa nightly, Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).

Hi..great you're feeling better!

To change or add to your profile....click on "Control Panel"....then "Edit Profile"...scroll to the bottom, and create or change your signature, click "Save".

I would suggest you log out, then exit windows or go to another site, then back here, log in and your profile should be changed and your signature showing. At least that's what I've found what works.

Your signature will only be show/change as of the new postings after it's changed in your profile.
Remember that a profile can only be 10 lines....spaces between lines are counted as one.
