Due to unforseen circumstances many of your Uc mods are having a hard time coming onto the Uc forum to offer support, seek/give advice and "police - using this word lightly" the forum.  You may have noticed that the mods have been a bit scarce - or not!  smilewinkgrin   And I know that some of you are protective of the Uc forum so I thought I would give y'all a heads up.  We have asked that some of the other forum moderators poke in here on occasion to give us a hand.  So PLEASE give them the same respect as you would us ok?  However, if in the event that something happens, do not hesitate to contact any of Uc mods via email.  Our email addy's are under our forum names.

Thank you!!

The administrator is the only one authorized to add moderators -- so until he does, we are just asking for everyone's help. This is a great forum; everyone is wonderful and very supportive and we appreciate it.

I couldn't agree more Carol! Everyone is just so great here! The main reason we have so many moderators is that the Uc forum is the second busiest here on HW and it can be tough to read thru so many posts. Our active Uc mods have a lot going on in there lives right now (myself included) that it is a bit hard to come online lately. Which is why I put this post up - to let you all know that you may be seeing moderators from other forums coming in here on occasion to help out.

Just out of curiosity, what's the busiest? :)

Thanks for being mods, by the way! I'm sure it takes more time than the rest of us realize.
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa nightly, Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).

This forum is so much more than I ever expected or could have asked for. Everyone is so intelligent and well educated about their disease and you very rarely, if ever, see anything inappropriate. Thank you as well to the moderators!

Thanks to all the UC-ers for being the great people you are.

Just to let you know, this mod has been playing hooky because I had total knee replacement last week. I'm doing well, just a bit loopy on pain killers and my desk chair is not comfy for me.

Judy, I hope your recovery goes well! A lot of people I know seem to be having knee replacements! One of my son's day care providers had it done last month and my mother in law just had hers done on Monday!

Wow Judy!  Good luck with that.  You'll have a long haul ahead of you with rehab and stuff but you will be so happy in the end that you did it!  (My dad had both his hips done and is back to living life!)

Feel good!  In the meantime enjoy the loopiness the drugs give - it's definitely better than the pain! :)
