I've been away for a couple of years(in Asia) and have for the last while been using generic mesalamine enemas from India(mesacol).
Before I left a couple of years ago I used salofalk enemas.
Now on my return I've been prescribed pentasa enemas. On receiving a batch of these from the pharmacist I see that their concentration is only 1 gram mesalamine per enema. Both the salofalk I used and mesacol are 4gr per enema.
I was just about keeping remission for some months at 3/4 mesacol enemas per week - I take it equivalent pentasa would be 12 a week? and now I'm starting to flare, doesn't sound very practical... Does that sound right? I'm wondering if these pentasas are any use to me.
