I am having a colonoscopy (and endoscopy) this week.
Right now I am taking Prilosec OTC for the pain, Trazadone for sleep and
Alprazolam (generic Xanax) for Anxiety.
I was wondering if someone could tell me if it's OK to to take these the night before the procedure(s), (before bed and after taking the "bowel flushing tablets and parking myself on the toilet for 2 or so hours).  The prep instructions do not mention this, and I'm probably being a bit paranoid, but I just want to get these procedure over and done with, and I don't want to find out "the day of" that taking these the night before was a "big no-no".
Any advice would be extremly helpful.

I've had a lot of scopes and they always say that I can take my regular meds before bedtime but not the day of the procedure. But you should call your doctor to confirm. Oh and usually they will have you take your Prilosec the day of to help with the anesthesia side effects.

if you are worried about, just call the nurse for your doctor. I call mine all the time - even if it bothers her :)
