Hello everyone,
Lately for the past 2 weeks I have been having horrible burning bowel movements practically everytime I go.  I eat a lot of bananas, mostly fruits and veggies.  No meat, very little dairy, and no bread.  I take Culturelle probiotcs everyday and drink tons of water.  I am normal weight and get lots of exercise.  What could be causing the buning in my poop?  Its really upsetting me because it burns so bad my butt is raw all day long.  What causes the burning?  Thank you for your help

Are you having frequent bowel movements? If so, it could just be irritation. Using wet wipes instead of only toilet tissue could help and sitz baths could soothe.
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999. Have been in remission for years with only a few minor blips.
Maintenance dose sulfasalazine. Probiotics, vitamin D, fiber supplement and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice and l-glutamine for gut healing. Mostly grain-free and dairy-free low carb diet.

It could also be hemmeroids or a fissure. I do have hemmeroids and it can burn coming out sometimes. Also, what color are your bm's?

I have ass burn too and I don't have a lot of movements. Even if I only have one a day it will burn my backside. I think I have a small cut that keeps getting irritated by firm stools. I think we need to take some fiber.
Diagnosed with mild proctitis in March 2007: Treated with Canasa (as needed)
