I found your story very interesting. I am still taking meds but I have been limiting them and am prepared to limit them even more. When you say you have gone back to natural eating and are eating vegetables, are you eating them raw? And what does your day to day diet consist of? Do you take meds?
The reason why I ask is because I did the same with my raw foods diet. I found that when I was in my flare I did not want to touch raw foods, but I did it anyway. Im glad I did because I am now using raw spinach to control any urgencies I have. The pain is not too bad and sometimes not at all. I don’t need immodium for work, all I do is bring a bag of raw spinach, which I did last week. It worked? I hope it continues?
I also found my raw foods diet made me constipated. So now if my poo is in a cow paddy and not a log I just use raw spinach to stop that and make it firm. I also found that cook spinach does not work.
The only problem I have is that I do eat gluten free porridge and sometimes gluten free crackers. This may be bad for UC? What carbs do you eat?
