Since it's a blind trial, I obviously don't know the dosage I'm on (or even if I have a placebo), but I'm pretty sure I've gotten a smaller dosage. After day 2 I was feeling "better" - less frequency, but still blood. I went from 15-20+ bms a day to 5-10, but they were relatively painless and I could go back to what I was doing. Previously, everytime i got sick I would have to lie in bed for about
10-15 mins curled up in a ball to wait for the pain and nausea to subside, which meant I was in bed most of the day.
I have noticed a LOT more gas, but I noticed that right before my last flare ended. I'm still getting up 1-2x a night, but mostly it's all gas (with blood, of course). I haven't had any Prednisone side effects so far, but it's early.
So, I feel good that there has been some improvement and I'm hoping that it continues to get better each day.
This is very hopeful for us all!
