Many of you know that I had my first J-pouch surgery last October 20 and the second and final surgery January 21. After being off work for almost 6 months straight I went back to work half days April 14. After about
one week I developed an anal fissure and had to stop working again. Today I finally went back to work again. I will be working half days this week and may start full time next week. My fissure is much better although I do have some slight discomfort during bowel movements. I can finally say that my condition is better than before surgery. My energy level is about
the same, I have about
4 or 5 BM’s per day with mild urgency compared to 7 to 10 with extreme urgency before surgery. In fact last week I had 2 days in a row with only 3 BM’s each day. I have not woke up once in the last 2 weeks to go to the washroom. Before surgery it was very rare to not go overnight.
