No flare this year!!!!

Well, this time last year I was in a flare. It wasn't bad, but I was able to manage it with the meds I was on with no additional drugs, I also didn't miss any work. :-) This year I haven't even flared. :-) This is my third spring with this disease, but my first with no flare. I was surprised that I didn't flare this year, guess I hit real remission last year or something, or just hit a bump in the road last May. I'm very happy that I haven't flared this year. Although I still keep wondering if it's gonna show it's "face" sometime soon.

Diagnosed with UC since March 2007

Taking Humira and Imuran since May 2007 (Currently in remission since May 2007)
Taken off Imuran 1/15/09
Only taking Humira.

Can't take Asacol, Allergic to Remicade

Cannot tolerate mesalamine - starting 6mp soon?

EXCELLENT

Moderate Pancolitis
Dx'd 05/2007
8 Pentasa per day (4/2)
Corti Foam p.m. 3-4X per week
Curcummin and Probiotics/Rueteri.
Bowel Soother and IntestiNew, Fish Oil, Calcium/Mag/Zinc, Multi Vitamin and Melatonin
Eliminated Fructose and Corn Syrup
Could never tolerate artificial sweetners
I try to excersice/swim daily
Did I happen to mention I HATE this disease!!!

*Heather* Status: mild flare enemas tapered to every 3rd night
~diagnosed January 1989 UC (proctosigmoiditis)
~UC meds: Asacol (3 x2 daily); Salofalk enemas nightly for flares & taper to maintenance 
~Bentylol (dicyclomine) 20mg as needed; Ranitidine (reflux);  Effexor XR 75mg(depression);  Pulmicort/Airomir (asthma) 
~vitamins/minerals/supplementsProbiotics....(Natural Factors Protec, Primadophilus Reuteri Pearls). @ bedtime
~various digestive enzymes as needed
~URSO for PSC (or PBC) 500mg X 2 daily (LFTs back to NORMAL!!)
My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS"  worth it !!!
