I'm curious as to what products people are using. I'm currently taking Digestive Advantage Crohn's & Colitis Therapy. I guess I can't really notice any difference. I've also been taking Milk of Magnesia before I go to bed to help me "purge" in the morning. It relieves a lot of the cramping and nausea, but obviously it's not a very "pretty" scenario. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Probiotics to reestablish good gut flora, l-glutamine for gut healing and omega-3 to reduce inflammation are the supplements I've found most helpful. See my sig for other things I take.

If you've been on the probiotics for a month or so and haven't seen any changes, you need to either increase your dose or try a different brand.
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999. Have been in remission for years with only a few minor blips.
Maintenance dose sulfasalazine. Probiotics, vitamin D, fiber supplement and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice and l-glutamine for gut healing. Mostly grain-free and dairy-free low carb diet.

I support what princesa says (as usual). The only thing I would add in addition is a supplement called co-enzyme Q10, which is an anti-oxidant. Personally, I only use some supplements when I think they are needed (n-acetyl glucosamine, co-enzyme Q10, aloe vera). I take probiotics and omega-3s religiously, however.
Diagnosed with UC in 1990.

Current Meds: Sulfasalizine (2 g), Rowasa (now and then), Folic Acid (1 mg)

Supplements: fish oil, flax oil, glucosamine, CoQ10, fiber, aloe vera juice, probiotics.

Other: Raw Milk for breakfast. Currently exploring a raw milk fast one day/week.
