Has anyone ever tried hulless popcorn? I really like popcorn and I miss eating eat since being diagnosed with colitis. Usually I end up feeling pretty bad after I eat it, so I've stopped eating it. I read online about hulless popcorn. I was wondering if any of you had any symptoms or problems when you tried it.

Hi...I have no problems with popcorn, but it's always good to try different varieties to see what is best for you.

Hulless popcorn is definitely worth a try...I think I had it years ago.

One trick to have popcorn pop better is to keep it in a jar in the freezer.

You'd really be best, however, to do any popcorn in an air popper. That way, you can have it plain or with whatever toppings and not what's offered in microwavable packages of popcorn.

Make sure you chew it well........enjoy!

Popcorn can be hard on UC. I have tried the hulless and it seems to be ok, I only eat it if I'm in remission, though. Just not worth risking the pain otherwise... but I do love popcorn!!
The hulless I buy is at Cub Foods (a local grocery store) and is called "Black Jewel." It pops much smaller but still satisfies your craving. Good luck!
