I'm on a 6 week schedule too. I find there's 2 schools of thought re. Remicade dosing- even with the 6 week schedule, that last week before the infusion & the first week right after the infusion are pretty rough for me. For yourself, making it to week 7 isn't so bad- if you can deal with the symptoms, you may want to hold there for the time being. Because once you start getting symptomatice before week 8, it means the drug is losing effectiveness. And once you start shortening your infusion schedule, there's only so much frequency you can get the stuff. Know what I mean? For me, if I start having major symptoms at week 3 or 4, my GI wants to move me to Humira (which is a whole other issue due to insurance). When you start getting your infusions sooner & sooner, it's sort of like you hasten the process by which the drug is no longer helping you. BUT- that said, I'd definitely see about
going on a 6-7 week schedule- that frequency may last quite some time for you.
