I woke up this morning and went to take my normal 4 morning pills. The bottles all look the same and I grabbed my amitripyline thinking it was my my effexor and I saw something dark in there so I dumped out the pills. Yeah that dark thing was a BUG (dead)!!!! It had to have been the most disgusting thing I've ever seen! I always keep my pill bottles closed and I have NO idea how it got in there. I'm still creeped about it! yuck!

Ewww! I would call the pharmacy and ask for a new bottle. That's really gross if it was like that when you bought it. I'm sure the pills are okay though to take, but I really hate bugs so the gross factor would get to me.

It must have happened at home because I try and get most of my meds in three-month increments because its easier when I'm away at school and I've had the pills for a while...

I try not to I just think "down the hatch!" kind of like taking scope prep lol

Yeah I grew up going to the "cabin" (usual for a Minnesotan) every weekend and it was always ticky and buggy up there so I guess I'm used to it too lol

It was covered in pill dust so it must of been in there a while...

27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night.  I take xanax prn for situational anxiety (aka no easy bathroom access).

The only thing worse than finding a worm in your apple is finding half a worm in your apple :)

And PB4 - I had heard of that before - things like pepper have a certain acceptable level of ickys like rat poop.
