I'm assuming you are the one flying?
My doc gave me xanax to deal with the flying anxiety (not fear of flying, fear of pooing), but I didn't think it helped.
When I have had to deal with this, I don't eat or drink anything -- nothing -- until I'm on the plane and the seatbelt sign is off. It's a very anxious situation! It's an hour drive to the airport for me, usually I can make it without stopping but not always. Then I also treat myself to the closest, most expensive parking so I don't have to take a shuttle, figuring it's just a cost I have to absorb because of this disease. At least now they have a bathroom near the gates at my home airport; for a long time you had to leave the secured area to use the restroom, then go back through security again! (small airport). Tough when you are traveling alone, or feel the need to go a few times. And don't get me started on the long security lines at the big city airports...yikes.
Sorry, I don't think I'm helping here! All said, I never had an accident.
