Hello All,

My husband is getting a colonoscopy on Friday and the doctor has ordered Movi-Prep to "clean him out".  He was ordered to start it at 7 p.m. the night before, and then drink the second bottle at 2:30 a.m. the morning of the procedure!  In other words, he will literally be up all night preparing for the colonoscopy, which is at 8 a.m.  I have had several colonoscopies, (but never used Movi-Prep) and I have always started the preparation around 2 p.m. the day before so I could get a good night's sleep.  Does anyone who has used Movi-Prep see any reason why my husband can't start the preparation the afternoon before, as long as he doesn't eat or drink anything after he starts?  Thanks for your help.

that makes no sense to be taking it at 2:30 am... he'd still be going when he had to go in for the colonoscopy... I did Moviprep and started at 5...and did the second one at 8... i see no reason at all for him to take it so long after starting the first bottle.

BUT.. I'm not a dr.

Latest-Finally tapering off prednisone 5mg every week.. Staying on Lialda 2 twice a day. Currently colonoscopy shows remission. Apparently my symptoms are from my IBS side of my issues.
Medications:Prednisone 20mg, Lialda 2 twice a day, Align probiotic, Hyomax as needed.
I am so sick of this disease!

That's just crazy! When I did the Moviprep cleanse my last dose was supposed to be at 9:30pm. I started my prep a couple hours early and in fact, I didn't even have to do the last bottle. I was going clear after the first. As long as your husband is consuming nothing but clear products that day, I don't see why he can't start a bit earlier.
