although I have no idea how expensive it is, but the concept for people like us is wonderful.

Kind of like a bidet, but not.

Ulcerative proctitis. On Asacol 3 3x a day,  Started Meslamine enemas nightly again.
Doc now has me on prescription Pepcid, and  Questran.  Just started that 05/15, so will wait and see.
Update: Questran made me worse, so I stopped taking it.

Urgency is still my biggest problem.  Blood is now gone.

I think I've seen these before. The travel channel did a show once about the best restrooms in the world and I think they showed of these kinds of pottys in Japan or some asian country.
Definitely a good idea for UCers!

This was very common when i visited India - i liked them and feel water is definitely cleaner. But, sometimes the water jet that comes out is too strong and can cut you a little... it can be like a knife - happened with one of my friends - but this will happen only if you get a defected piece otherwise they work well...so just be careful & check the jet of water before you use.
Right now -FLARING (after my Rubella vaccination)
Diagnosed in Jan'2009: Canasa suppositories 1000 nightly - worked for 2 months then re-flare
13 may: canasa 1000 X2 daily for 2 weeks - to start Lialda after 2 weeks if canasa double dose does not work
Lialda X2 started on 30th may.
Symptoms: Mucus, blood, constipated (not always), Lots Gas
Also gifted with Hypothyroid & have calicum deficiency family history!
Also started Probiotic from 23 Mar & fresh Turmeric root from 25 March'09- stopped both on 10th May

I paid a visit to Japan last November. All the public washrooms, including the washrooms in the hotel rooms, used this kind of washlets. I was very impressed.
I visited the Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studio in Osaka and the heated toilet seats were even more comfy because of the cool weather.

Looks interesting!

However, Joylu or one of the mods might want to edit Joylu's original post to include a warning that there are bare butts in the link...I'd be embarrassed if I opened that at work!
Status: Remission since late May 2009!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Eased for ~3 weeks in December, possibly b/c of probiotic use?
Returned in January 2009 (with a vengeance), diagnosed with pancolitis on January 30.
Currently taking Asacol (400mg 4 pills 3x daily), Rowasa twice weekly, Culturelle probiotic, and Zoloft (25 mg).

Hahaha the butts made me laugh! I went to the site and was like what in the world is this!!

Its kind of funny. My boyfriends sister just came back from China and we were looking at pictures she took and there was one of a bidet like toilet. They must be very popular on that continent.
