I went to talk to my doctor today finally. Its the first time I had been there since September. He said that from what i describe he thinks my problem at this point is just the lower part of my colon ...last year it was bad all the way through. so..i am getting rowasa tomorrow. Im excited because I feel like I am doing better and hopefully the rowasa will help. I feel really positive and i just wanted to share. :)

Hey, that is great news, I'm very happy for you and hope it continues to improve...it's so nice to read something positive like that...keeping fingers and toes crossed that you'll soon be in a full remission and what a better time with summer less than a week away!!

:)
My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)

Definitely good news Angela....what other meds are you on at this time?

How long did the doc say to use them?

Do stay on them till you are feeling "normal"....then start to taper every second night for a few weeks, then taper again to every third night..etc.

They can be used for maintenance. Some are able to go off them and start them again at the first symptoms of a flare.

So....when do you see the doc again?
