Let me know how it went with your initial dosage of Humira. Like I said, I went yesterday. It would be cool if we kept in touch to see how things are going with it. Stay well.

I'm done.  4 pens in. My nurse showed me how to do it by doing the first two, one in my stomach and one in my thigh.  It STUNG.  But then the stinging went away.  I can describe it as a bad bee sting on a sunburn.  Definitely more than I thought.  Then I did the two additonal injections myself.  I was nervous and wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do it.  I think I may prefer to do the injections on my thighs better than my stomach.  The icing the skin beforehand was helpful.  So I'm set to do the next two in 15 days. .and then one more.. so all I kept thinking that today was the worst it will ever be.. I just really hope this helps. I've had one of the worst stomach weeks in a very long time... I'm thinking positively.

I would like to keep in touch, since we seem like we're in the same boat.

Heads up... when you do your thighs, you will need to develop a routine so the areas you use won't get tough. When I went down to 1 pen every 2 weeks, I just started using my belly. My thighs were a pain to do, but when I was using 2 pens every 2 weeks I used my belly and thighs. The belly really isn't that hard though, it's much easier than the thighs. Good luck!

I just felt that the thigh hurt less than the belly and the sting went away sooner. I will keep that in mind though. I was surprised to feel that way cuz I know most people like doing the belly better than the thigh.

For me... it was hard either way. I think it's just something to get used to. I used to be stuck on the thighs until they got tender and sensitive.
