Well, i just got back from the DR. He switched me back to Asacol, and even gave me 3 months worth of free samples. He didn't want to have me on Hydrocortizone enemas, so he gave me rx for suppositories. I hope this puts me back in remission.

He RX me Hydrocortizone ones. He said he didn't want to even use those because he doesn't want to use any kind of steroids unless it is absolutely necessary. He told me to come back to his office on Friday if i wanted and he would have free Canasa for me. He said between 60-90 days worth so I think I'll do that. Did I mention that my GI is awwwwsome with giving samples???

Yep I take both. I take Benifibre chewables and i Cant remember what brand of probiotics. I started the fiber about 2 1/2 months ago and it took a while but I have noticed it helping. As for the probiotics I have been taking them for just over a year. It took about a month of use before I noticed anything, but they do help. I have learned a lot from this site and it has taught me to do my own research and learn more about this crappy D. I knew the Asacol was kinda costly but Canasa is really expensive. I want to edit my meds, just can't remember how.

Great you're using fibre and probiotics. It's hit and miss and good to experiment with different brands.

To change your siggie...go to the Control Panel at the blue menue bar (beside the log-off).

Click onto Edit Profile....scroll down to the bottom, change siggie, click to save.

I would log out and click out of windows and come back to log in again....hopefully it will change on all your new posts after that. Sometimes it takes a while, but I've found that what I suggested works.

Looks right to me!

You might want to add if your UC is pancolitis or where it's limited to.
As well...when you were diagnosed and meds that didn't work, etc.

You have 10 lines (double spacing counts as an extra line).

My GI's office called me and told me that my GI was gonna be up my way Friday morning and he will stop by my place and drop off the Canasa!! turn They wanted to know if that would be ok, and since I live about 75miles from his office I told them of course!! So he will be here around 8am with 60 days worth of Canasa. His 60 days worth is 1 in the morning and 1 at night. Quincy, he said your Dr is right. In a flare treat it from both ends. He also said he will be trying to get some free NAME BRAND Rowasa!
Anyways, some of my friends ask why I travel so far to "just see a DR", and this is why. My DR takes time with me, and I feel that he really cares and I think it shows, at least to me anyway. Well, I just wanted to share this. I started my vacation yesterday and I think this is a great way to continue.

Oh DOUBLE WOW!!!! That's definitely some doc you have. What's 75 miles anyway? not much I wouldn't think...because there's a lot to be said for quality.

With the Rowasa and Canasa, you can have yourself a very good set-up for treatment and maintenance. Lots of options in using them in combination to have them last longer..with the most amount of benefit.

In any event..seems Friday will be a good day for you..just in time for the US holiday weekend!

Yep, my doc is right...and remember that he said that to me 20 years ago. more docs of today best start getting with that philosophy.
