You might have a food allergy...any msg in the food?
Dx'd with moderate Pancolits 05/07 better with Pentasa and Cortifoam.
I also take Probiotics, Curcumin, Benefiber and cannot tolerate
artificial sweetners (never could even before UC).

Weird, I'd get that. I'd go out for Chinese and immediately have to poo after I ate. I think I got a lil better and also found nicer retaurants, 'cause now I'm pretty much okay. I'd stay away from it unless you're completely in remission. Chinese is so good =(

Oh my...it's not going to make you flare.

I had too many cherries, this morning and after supper. I have gas and probably will have very loose stool, maybe an extra one...but I would expect that.

You should eat as normally as possible, and if chinese food isn't for you, then don't eat it. I don't eat everything either, but I would never consider any foods to cause a flare.

Yes, I also immediately wondered about MSG or some other food additive.
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999. Have been in remission for years with only a few minor blips. Scope on 6/22 showed no inflammation at all.

Maintenance dose sulfasalazine. Probiotics, vitamin D, fiber supplement and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice and l-glutamine for gut healing. Mostly grain-free and dairy-free low carb diet.

Sometimes it's just so hard to resist-- especially when children are having a party & want you to join in the fun. Here's hoping you'll make a quick recovery from those tempting tidbits! / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])
