My Dr. has suggested remicade as a possibility for me. I have had a pretty severe flare of my uc since May. Has anyone had success? I did read some people are having success. Has anyone had side effects? I am nervous about starting another new medication.

It seems that are several people on the board who are having a lot of success with it. I haven't yet, but it can sometimes take a bit longer so I haven't given up on it yet. On a positive note, I have had no side effects or reactions to it at all

Fortunately, (or unfortunately for some, like me) it works for some, doesn't work for others, just like any drug! I am still looking for the right "cocktail" of meds.

I wish you luck if you decide to take it!

Remicade is discussed very frequently here; looking at some of the threads may be helpful to you. The search function for "UC Remicade" gave this list:
