Ok, I know this is really out there, but I found an article claiming that many of the auto immune diseases that a growing in population today are due to an overly clean society... too many antibacterial everythings.  They have reintroduced pig whipworms in people with autoimmune disease and it seems to help....
Ok, Has anyone tried this???  Any results??
Here is the article, its called "Babies Know: A Little Dirt Is Good for You"

I was raised before the clean era come about, so I don't know about that theory. Plus I was living in an apartment going to college over an animal hospital when I started getting symptoms, lol. Can't get much dirtier than that.

I saw a thread here recently on someone trying something similiar to that as a therapy. Maybe they will chime in on how they are doing. I remember doing fecal tests along time ago when I was a vet tech and seeing those whipworms in cats, lol. Looked like little ears of corn. I'd be willing to swallow a few of those if it would let me get off of everything else.

i had read a story like this earlier, also tellign that the number of auto immune diseases and cancers was very low in third world countries. It was thought that because they were being exposed to unclean things there bodies were stronger. Also, food allergies are less likely in poorer families and ethnic households. They said it was probably because instead of doing likek we are told and introducing one food at a time, they either cant afford that and just feed them mashed up whatever they are eating or becaue noone tells them too, the kids are exposed to so much food they dont get a chance to develop allerigies.
I have always let my little boy play in the dirt and go barefoot and all that fun stuff and reading that article made me feel like abetter mommy for sure, lol
