Hi everyone, I have not been on in a long time due to being real sick with U.C. that turns out to be Crohn's that has now been determined it is U.C. Been in hopital almost month of April, Had to have blood transfusion due to bleed so bad. Been on so much meds don't know who I really am any more. Was on 80 mg Predisone. done tapered to 10mg  one daily. I am finally comeing back to myself. It has been one terrible ride. Have had 3 Remecade Infusions, 4th in Aug. Remecade has been a blessing, have not had any side effects, done quit bleeding, still have some low colon pains, constipation due to what I eat, few foods are bothering me now. I have confidence in the remecade, so please don't tell me bad things about it. It was the only thing & prednesone and antibiotics that has gotten me thru. I am tired of hospitals, Dr's, meds, always a new ache or pain, but I am thankful I am still here. My sugar is so messed up by drugs I am on 2 Lantus shots and 2 Glucotrol pills a day. I am questioning my confidence in these drugs because my sugar is a constant fight. Either to high or to low. It has gotten to where it scares me. Any help on these drugs?    Angel

It sounds like you've been on quite the ride! I can't answer your question about medications since I've never had that been an issue for me. Have you considered surgery?

When I was hospitalized for as long as you have, I had a long recovery too. I had aches and pains and minor issues til about Jan of 2008. I was diagnosed and hospitalized early 2007, the pains slowly went away by October, but still had to really watch what I ate. Once you are healed with using the Remicade you should feel better.
