finally in remission...

after flaring pretty much this whole year and being on pred i think i am finally in remission. ....last thursday had a bad flex sig, and 2 days later the d pretty much no blood, no pain, no mucus, and only 1 or 2 bm's a day.  Thank you Jesus.

UC since 2000 - in remission for most of those 8 years med free.
Cannot tolerate mesalamine. Currently take probiotics and fish oil. Trying Applied Kinesiology & supplements.

congrats lucas....if you're still on pred, you have to go through the tapering phase.

~diagnosed January 1989 UC (proctosigmoiditis)

Hey LucasJ!!! Congratulations on your remission!! Just make sure you taper off the pred SLOWLY!!! I've been on it now for almost 3 weeks and am at 60mgs and STILL trying to get there, but I think I'm going in the right direction now :)
Diagnosed with U/C January 31st, 2005, IBS on July 21st, 2006 
  Status as of June 30th, 2009 :  Flaring for the last 7 or 8 months with blood, mucus PAIN..... Meds are: Prednisone 60mg daily,  Apriso 2 pills 2x a day.. I take Xanax when needed and Ambien for sleep... Nexium in the am for heartburn..   Culturelle 2 times a day...

well, dropped to 20 mg bm's are perfectly a day.....believeing for a miracle
