Actually I had blood vessel on both of my white eyeball for couple of years. It is always worse better then worse better.
I can always see some red there.

Sometimes I feel the very dryness of my eye and tired when I watched computer. Then normally I'll find more
blood on white eyeball. After a sleep, the blood will go away a lot (but still some there)

Do you guys have any idea about this red eye?  I never think about this seriously and wandering whether I should
go to an ophthalmologist soon. (I was checked by an optomertist last year , and he said I am OK. That's just two month before I was dxed UC).

Dx Ulcerative protitis Oct. 08 by colonoscopy
Main problem is rectum bleeding......

Jan. 09, Asacol  3X2pill / day, off Canasa...... Began to bleed a week later
Back to Canasa 1000mg/night

Seems in remission now......

Thinking about taking some probiotic.......

I went to a patient education class one time sponsored by the group myibd.org and they said that red eyes were a warning sign that a flare may be coming. "iritis?" I think maybe they called it?

Thank you Jen.

This pic is kind of like both of my eyes.
Mine is a little bit more serious than the pic.

If you had iritis, you would know it. It can be very painful along with uveitis. It could be that you have dry eye. Ibd'ers are extremely prone to developing dry eye. This not to be confused with dry eyes from your everyday environment such as the wind, sun etc. Dry eye syndrome is where your eyes actually stop producing tears or slow down on the production. It is also related to having an auto immune disease such as UC. I have Dry Eye syndrome and I use Systane when it flares up. My eyes get very red as well when my Dry eye flares up. If it doesn't hurt or itch but just has a dry feeling along with some redness or watering, then that is an indication of Dry Eye. But if it hurts, itches, and is extremely red then that is a sign of infection.
