Hey guys I have read a lot about diets helping put UC in remission. I was wondering what diet I should follow? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pick one. All of them appear to help some people, while some people are helped by none of them. The only real way to find out what might help you is to try it.

There are lots of diets out there, and it's a matter of giving them a try to see what works for you. Some that come to mind, that have worked for some people on the forum are:

Spinach and sunflower seed
SCD - Specific Carbohydrate Diet
David Klein's diet
Juicing veggies
FODMAPs

Look them up on the Google custom search on the top right hand-side of this screen and the links to previous discussions on the forum should show up.
Rio, 33 year old male. Diagnosed with UC in 2006
100 mg Azathioprine (stopped), 4800 mg Asacol
VSL#3 & Primadophilus Bifidus, Metamucil
Vitamin E enema or Asacol suppository occasionally

You've just got to choose one (I guess the one that makes the most sense or sounds the most appealing to you) and try it. And try it for more than a week or two. It's a crapshoot, basically.
Status: Remission since late May 2009!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Diagnosed with pancolitis on 1/30/09
Currently taking Apriso (4 pills ONCE!! daily), Rowasa twice weekly, Natural Factors Ultimate probiotic 12/12 Formula, and Zoloft (25 mg).
