There is no urgency with a jpouch. I have no idea how often I empty my pouch but if I guess it would be 6-8 times per day. Most of those times are when I urinate. Do you know how often you urinate per day? Emptying the pouch is as quick as peeing so all those days of prolonged visits to the toilet are gone. I have a very active life. I enage in a lot of international travel and long distance hiking in the range of 100-200 miles. If the jpouch was not a viable option and was similar with life with UC, I wouldn't be able to do these things. Life with a jpouch is different than life with a healthy colon but life with a jpouch exceeds life with unrepentent UC.
