Hi everyone!

I'm finally getting better..   I was just reading some other posts, about people who have tried prednisone and had horrible side effects. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.. My only side effect that I can notice that bothers me a bit is my sleep is pretty much non-existant without sleeping pills.. but other than that, it's actually helped me feel better! I have so much more energy and am able to stay on top of things.

I guess the downside is the stuff I can't see... like bone thinning and whatever else it does to you.. I'm currently on 50mg until I see no blood for a few days... then I can go down to 40mg until my next GI appt on the 18th..   At the rate I'm going, I should be able to drop down to 40mg in another 2 or 3 days. I've had hardly ANY blood, except for a tiny bit on the TP..  no more filling the toilet bowl with blood like I was for sooooo long...

I'm also taking that new drug Apriso.. I hope it can keep me in remission while I taper, or my next step is Remicade... Argh.. scary thought..

Just thought I'd update you all that I'm FINALLLLLLLY seeing an improvement.. only took 4 weeks of Pred..  I sure thought it would work faster than that... but maybe adding the Apriso 2 weeks ago is part of it... (I HOPE)
