Well, I had the idea to put some Prep H on mosquito or spider bites and last night when I got locked out of the house for an hour at 1am, the mosquitos saw me as easy pickin's and when I finally got in the house I got to test my little idea. I think it worked! Boy was that a relief. Anyone else tried it? lol

Makes sense that it would work....pain relief, itch relief and inflammation relief.

Never thought to use it...good thing you had it on hand.

Hope you heal quickly...keep us posted as to how long it takes for them to subside.
When I get bit, they get pretty big.

They stopped itching before I fell asleep and were gone when I woke up =)

Still waiting for the hemmorhoid to subside; it's much much smaller and doesn't hurt anymore. I think I heal more slowly than I used to.

Preperation H is such a nifty little med! I've read too that in the mornings if you wake up with under eye puffiness, you can use a little bit of Prep H. But never heard about the mosquitos. I think I am going to have to tell my friend who is a major mosquito magnet about this. :)

Red, I heard about the eye thing and something about models, but when I needed some Prep H for the first time in my life and read what it did, I thought it sounded like just the right thing for bug bites XD

wodin, I don't really notice a smell until I get my nose right in it lol.

Mine is the kind with "maximum strength pain relief" and has aloe in it. I just know it's not the original or whatever.

It does nothin' for my butt, but (hahaha) I'll have to try it for sqitos. Our MN summer has been really cool and dry so there isn't a lot of them out. Is it true that some people attract them more because their blood vessels are closer to the surface of their skin than others?

ps. EP we were diagnosed around the same time and are around the same age. Can't believe I haven't noticed that yet
