Anyone have trouble with a burning or irritation type feeling after having a stool? I am using nightly Rowasa enemas for about 9 weeks now and still have a lot of irritation frequently. No hemorrhoids that I am aware of. Wondering if a hydrocortisone Supp might help? Also if it could be certain type foods. Any ideas welcomed.

Rowasa Enemas nightly
Colazol 8 daily

have the enemas helped with lowering the frequency?

Is the burning at the anus? Have you taken a look-see?

It could be a fissure, an external hemmie or maybe a mild yeast infection.

You could consider something external like an ointment.

I like proctocedyl ointment, zinc oxide or hydrocortisone cream. On occasion I use Canasa yeast cream on my butt if it's a certain redness and not helped from the above creams. Works quickly.

Yes, the enemas helped with lowering the frequency. The burning is just inside the anus. Sometimes after eating certain things I might get some itching. Thanks for the ideas.
