Hi, I am new here and don't know if the UC forum is where I should be. But for the last 3 or so weeks I have noticed white sticky stuff in my morning movement. No blood, no pain, no dark or tarry no cramps , a little discomfort (hardly enough to mention) after i go for a couple of minutes. It is most prominant in the morning, it may be there during the day but doesn't seem to be or not much anyway. After reading alot on the internet I am wondering what this could be, fat? Parasites? (if i think if this of course i get nausios), celiac or uc? I have been eating activia hoping it would clean this out but I have 5 days left on it and I still get the gunk.
I have a regular docs visit with my gp, perhaps I should just take a sample in then , on the 6th.
I have anxiety so things like endoscopy etc. terrify me .. just wondering if anyone had the same and found out it could be taken care of non invasive ??
Thanks for your time and support.

Hi, welcome to Healingwell. It sounds to me that what you are experiencing is an increase of mucous. Mucous is found naturally in the large intestine and sometimes our colons can become irritated by the foods we eat which in turn can cause an increase of mucous. It sounds like you have mild IBS but it's good that you are going to the doctor soon.

Thanks for your response. I will look into IBS as well.. it's just so sticky and thick , not what i imagined mucus would be but it would sure be a relief to know it's not a parasite, celiacs etc. .. the fleas seem to love me this summer, they never bit me before and they are now.
Yes going to ask doc for something i can bring a sample back in.. since symptoms are mild it will be good to find out what it is hope it's something he can help me with, I am on state insurance as my job has none and finding a gastro doc might be difficult.
Thanks again!
