It doesn't happen every time I take it but it happens quite a bit that when I take 2-3 Immodium, I suffer from loss of appetite.  It just makes me feel blah and I can't force any food down my throat.  Sometimes I get flu like feeling when taking it too, I feel a little shivery and just yucky!

I'm so missing the days where I could come and go as I please and not have to think about taking Immodium and Xanax before I leave my house.  The only way I can travel is by taking meds that make me feel blah!  I'm just so down lately thinking about how I used to be able to live my life and how everyone I know doesn't have to worry about pooping all the time.  I never know from one day to the next what my symptoms will be.   shakehead   The first thought that always pops into my head when making plans is how my UC will be.  It really sucks!

it does make me a little sick to my stomach for a couple of hours then I get to feeling better. I think my doctor told me once that you can get prescription immodium that wont cause that. that has been way back and my memory isnt the best but you could ask your doctor about it and see.

I have taken Imodium for many years for IBS before IBD and never had any side effects - just slows down or stops the diarrhea and lower cramping spasms.  I have never taken more than one at a time however and usually only take 1/2.
