Hi all, haven't posted in a while. I had a maintenance colonoscopy on Monday that showed I had two separate areas of my colon that had a stenosis,(narrowing of the colon due to scar tissue), one of which he could not even get a pediatric scope through and so had to abort the rest of the colonoscopy. I do not know how this has happened. I was doing acupuncture and taking a lot of herbal supplements that really seemed to be helping. (I had no visible blood and was down to 2 BM's a day.) I haven't gotten pathology report back but my G.I. did not seem positive about it especially since I've had this disease for 28 years and there was still a lot of inflammation. Now he is highly recommending surgery. If any of you have had experience with a stenosis or can offer any advice at all please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

No, I stopped my 6-mp back in January because I have two small children and it was making me very tired.

Hi...were you diagnosed with CD rather than UC? Did he give you a reason as to why you may have had the narrowing other than UC?
Where exactly is the narrowing?
You might want to consider to have ultrasound or another test that can show the extent of the narrowing....
