Do you guys ever freak out when you get D and it's not because of your UC?

My husband, a couple of hours after dinner last night spent about 30 minutes in the bathroom with D. (He doesn't have UC) He came out and said "Boy, I must've eaten something that my body didn't like!"

Well, overnight, I had the same problem. I woke up with that crampy I've gotta get to the John feeling. None of the usual UC symptoms, though when I went. But, nonetheless, I broke out in a cold sweat, worrying if this was another flare coming on! Well, this am, back to my usual self, so I guess I was freaking about nothing!

Sounds as if you both ate something that caused a bit of food borne illness.

Yup, I scared myself by eating loads of sweet corn, grape tomatoes, and raspberries over the course of one day. I thought I had a flare coming on! (I didn't think the food had caused it...just thought a flare was starting.) I had to remind myself that I reacted to an overdose of that kind of food long before I had UC!
Status: Remission since May 2009!
Symptoms began in November 2008, ~4 weeks after giving birth to my son.
Diagnosed with pancolitis on 1/30/09
Currently taking Apriso (4 0.375g pills ONCE!! daily), mesalamine enema twice weekly, Natural Factors Ultimate probiotic 12/12 Formula, and Zoloft (25 mg).
