Hey Guys,
I just came across this book "Listen to your Gut" by Jini Patel Thompson I was wondering if any of you have read it and if so have you followed any of the recommendations?  I just ordered it because it seemed really interesting to me and am thinking of going on the Remission induced diet she talks about.  figured it can't hurt as I have lost so much weight that if this even helps some then great!  Her advice seems very logical and makes sense.  I will keep you posted on my results.

It's an excellent resource for all types of natural and alternative treatments. It's pretty hefty... one of the most comprehensive IBD books around.
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis spring 1999. Have been in remission for years with only a few minor blips. Scope on 6/22 showed no inflammation at all.
Maintenance dose sulfasalazine. Probiotics, vitamin D, fiber supplement and fish oil caps. George's aloe vera juice and l-glutamine for gut healing. Mostly grain-free and dairy-free low carb diet.

Ditto what princesa says. I would add that following a number of the recommendations found in LTG has been very helpful to me.
