None of you may know me anymore because I haven't been on in a while, I have successfully been being treated with Remicade for about 2 1/2 years with no relapses whatsoever.
But, I met a really great guy, we're getting married next month, and I want to try to get pregnant. Although I've heard of perfectly healthy babies beig born on Remicade, there's something I just don't trust about brand new drugs. What happens if in 20 years something is wrong with my child? I'm told it takes about 8 weeks to get Remicade to get out of your system, so I decided to go off. Lo and behold, I'm in another flare :(
I guess the only reason I'm here is that I could really use some support and understanding (as the 40 mg of prednisone I'm on certainly doesn't provide that LOL), and I remember spending much time here before Remicade was available to the public and I was flaring a lot, it was a huge comfort to me knowing others were out there and going thru what I was going thru.
So, hi for the first time to all the newbies and hi again to all the 'oldies' LOL!
I look forward to hearing from you all soon :)
