My current GI is sort of recommending surgery and I really like him and trust him, but I am thinking I need a second opinion. Does anybody know a good GI in the Houston area.

Thanks

I'm just curious, what was it that made them change your DX from crohn's colitis (CD affecting the colon) to UC?

Reply to PB4. Why my diagnosis was changed. A second pathologist looked at my biopsies and determined that it leaned more to UC than Crohns. But I don't think its an exact science. I have read stories where people have been diagnosed with UC for years and then come to find out its turns out to be Crohns after surgery. Sorry for the multiple postings. I just got a laptop and not used to using it. LOL

I would get a second, maybe even third opinion then, nothing worse than docs confusing patients by flip-flopping with their DX.
