Since my Colazal and Proctofoam isn't working (in fact I'm just getting worse), my dr. wants me to have another colonoscopy. My dear parents (who are coming to visit tomorrow for 10 days and lucky them get to take me...their second time having to do this) want to ask some questions as I do. What should I ask? Here are some of my questions:
1. I have been on Colazal for around a year and have had 3 flares, obviously it's not working. What are my alternatives since I can't take Asacol due to an allergic reaction?
2. I would like to get an inflammation test done as well as a full panel, is this appropriate?
3. I want some medication for my hemmies!
4. Is the inflammation worse/better or the same as the last time I had this test?
This feels like the worst flare I have ever had. I feel terrible and am tired of running to the bathroom every 10 minutes in the morning and at night and all the blood is really scary. If there are other things I should ask, please let me know.
