I just ordered a new batch of VSL#3 probiotic capsules.

Just wondering...does anyone know if it's better to take these BEFORE eating, DURING a meal of AFTERWARDS?

I've noticed that if I take them before, AS SOON as I put something in my stomach, it comes right back out! ;)

I use VSL#3 packets and take them whenever I want. There should be a detailed insert with info when you get them. I did not see any place saying you had to take them at a certain time. When you put something in your stomach and have a flare going it will come right back out because you get the peristalsis going. It is not from the VSL#3 , it is from the flare. Hope that helps.

Do the capsules have a vanilla-lemon taste? The packets I used had that and it was a bit hard to take.

You shouldn't take VSL#3 at the same time as hot foods or hot drinks as the heat can inactivate the lactic acid bacteria. So, I take VSL#3 in between meals.
