Hi...4000mg 5ASA is on the higher side, but not the highest...
Please get a copy of your pathology report.....for your records and your own research if need be. Better to be in the know of what's going on than not and left guessing.
Make a list of quetions to ask the doc so that you don't forget when you get there,
PLEASE ask to be put on rectal meds....In the US it's Rowasa, in Canada or other it's Salofalk or Pentasa (and sometimes Asacol foam..wish we had that in Canada).
You're improving....take that learning as to how your flares work....it is what it is and that's a good thing.
I'm going in a week for my next c-scope and will be on pins and needles for the results as well...and that'll be my 8th (or 9th..can't remember) since diagnosis.
Try to eat as normally as you can, as balanced as possible.

My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS" worth it !!!
