What a bad night last night.  So bad I had to put the two dog beds in the bathroom and sleep in there.  I just couldn't run fast enough.
The last few days have been really bad.  I can't count how many times I have been to the bathroom.  I have had two Remicade infusions so far with no luck. I have been off the Prednisone since the end of July.
I finally just got rid of all the belly bloat and moon face and was feeling more normal. After last night I called the doctor on his cell this morning.  Starting 60mg of the pred as of today.  I am so upset but know that if I don't do it I will be in the hospital within days hooked up to an IV.
He said he will get me off them as soon as possible.  He also said there is still a chance the Remicade will work because he will raise the dose from 5kg to 10kg.  Has anybody else had to do this?  Is there such a thing as a quick taper of pred?  I will be going in for a flex sig this week also so he can see how involved the colon is.
I am just so tired of being sick.  Flaring since Dec 09.

I haven't used remicade, so can't offer any advice on that, but I have used prednisone in the past, and don't think a quick pred taper is a good idea, especially if you're starting at 60mg.

You could try avoiding sodium in your diet, and that should reduce the moon face and bloating (from water retention).
