Interesting when I crossed over to the allergy board to ask a question I found that people with allergies that answered also had UC.
Since it is an immune system disease I was thinking probably a lot of us have allergies. Wonder if anyone did a study on it?

Actually about 80-85% of the population have some sort of allergy. I think it's just a coincidence that you would come on here find Uc'ers that have both.

I only have allergies to dust and mold and they aren't that bad, they usually only bother me when it rains.

I have horrible outdoor allergies. Starting probably around kindergarten I started getting allergies and they were so bad I need allergy shots. I took shots for 6 years and stopped when I got to middle school. I used to have just spring time allergies but after being diagnosed with UC my allergies are just as bad in the fall too. Ragweed, tree pollen, dust, mold...I hate you!! I should say that I'm thankful I'm not allergic to dogs like my mom.
