Hi there...If I remember correctly, you're in the UK. They would have Asacol foam (a good option because it's foam, but we don't have that in N.America), Salofalk retention enemas in 2g and 4g dosages, and Pentasa retention enemas...don't know the dosage, but I'm sure it's 4g.
They are all 5ASA (mesalamine/mesalazine).
I guess your GP didn't know about
Hope your husband's situation is dealt with quickly and that it's nothing serious. I hope they do some blood tests as well.
