Basilpuppy, doctors cannot and will not give you drugs, especially experimental ones, without your consent. So sorry, I just don't believe that. Maybe what you were given caused problems, but it certainly wasn't without your say so. It's illegal, and no doctor would risk their license or a lawsuit and give experimental drugs to a pregnant lady.
Second, drugs DO work for me. I'm in a very, very, very nice remission right now, and the only thing I changed was adding the drugs. I ate a very healthy, well-balanced diet beforehand, though.
Elvaleryn, don't worry too much about
having kids right away! I was 30 before I had my first child (he'll be a year old in a few weeks). I really enjoyed my single years (I married at 27) and getting my education. Enjoy your "alone" time with your husband and enjoy your youth!!! But, I do agree that you need to make sure your colitis is in remission before you try to have a baby. You health and your baby's health will be much more secure by doing so. Good luck!
