I despise Pred. It truly is nasty stuff.
That said, it did cut my trips to the bathroom down from 10-20times/day to 3-4 immediately (though my first doses were IV administered-IDK if that makes a difference in how fast it works).
The bad side effects didn't hit me until a month in, and in the first month, I had tons of energy (even if it was med induced, I figured it was better than the alternative).
I wish I could say more positive things about
it. That is really all I can say that is good about
it. Not everyone has terrible side effects though-hopefully you won't. But I hope you don't have to stay on it for too long. I have been off of it more than a year and am still dealing with the effects of it. I really don't mean to be a downer, I just really hate this stuff and think that while it does help people, it is definitely NOT a long term fix. I just wish there was something that did the same thing but was less dangerous to people.

Back on Canasa temporarily because I took Biaxin for sinuses and started seeing streaks of blood again.
Also take multivitamins and milk thistle daily.
