You're flaring and possibly the flu shot upped your immune system to the point of exacerbating your flare.
I would also say that the mucosal tissue was fragile anyway.
As well...you mentioned a headache....are you expecting your period around the corner?
how many times a day are you going?
I think you should continue the Rowasa....and if your symptoms such as frequency increase, then it might be the 5ASA...but if you're only going once or twice and that doesn't increase, it's your flare.
Plus, if you're going less, the bleeding will seem like a lot more.
It would be good for you to call the doc anyway just for peace of mind regarding your concerns.
